Fables (FABLES) Token Launch Oct 20: Robinhood Chain DEX Guide

Fables launches FABLES on October 20. Key dates, the liquid vs veFABLES choice due October 19, PROLOGUE conversion, tokenomics, how ve(3,3) works and the risks.

Fables, a decentralized exchange built on Robinhood Chain, launches its FABLES token on October 20, 2026. Before that, points holders have a decision to make by October 19, and PROLOGUE holders have a snapshot on October 17 and 18. Missing either step can mean losing the allocation entirely.

This guide covers the dates, the numbers that have been published and how the ve(3,3) model works. It does not tell you whether to buy.

Not financial advice. Token launches are among the riskiest events in crypto. Prices can swing hard in the first days, schedules change, and fake claim sites appear around every launch. Verify everything on the official Fables channels and do your own research.

The token launch was originally planned earlier. On September 30 the team extended the points campaign from October 5 to October 19 and set the new launch date, citing a legal review. Dates moved once already and can move again.

What Fables is

Fables is a decentralized exchange on Robinhood Chain, the Arbitrum-based layer 2 network that Robinhood opened to the public on July 1, 2026. It is built on Uniswap v4: every Fables market pairs a standard v4 pool with a Fables “hook”, a small contract that sets the swap fee and tracks each liquidity provider’s share. That lets fees change with market conditions instead of staying fixed.

The team reported 52 markets, about $45 million in deposits and more than $2 billion in cumulative trading volume on Robinhood Chain by the end of September. These are the project’s own numbers. For background on the network itself, see our Robinhood Chain guide.

The choice due by October 19: liquid or veFABLES

If you earned points by trading or providing liquidity on Fables, you have to pick how to receive your allocation:

  • Liquid FABLES: tokens you can hold, move or sell after the claim opens.
  • veFABLES: the allocation is locked as a vote-escrowed position. Locked positions usually come with a multiplier and voting power, in exchange for not being able to sell for the lock period.

Fables said it would publish the claim guide, the conversion rate and the lock multipliers on October 12. Read them on fables.fi before deciding. The trade-off is the same as on every ve(3,3) exchange: locking gives more tokens and a say in rewards, liquid gives freedom to exit. If the official terms are unclear to you, there is nothing wrong with choosing liquid or locking only part.

The one choice that is always wrong is no choice. Wallets that do not select an option by October 19 lose eligibility to claim.

PROLOGUE holders: the snapshot

PROLOGUE is the pre-token Fables issued before FABLES. It trades on Robinhood Chain DEXs and on MEXC, with a market value of a few million dollars in mid-October.

Holders are recorded in a snapshot on October 17 and 18. The team says every 40 eligible PROLOGUE converts to at least 1 liquid FABLES, and 25 million FABLES are set aside for these redemptions. The final ratio comes after the snapshot. According to reports on the schedule, only PROLOGUE held in a wallet you can sign from counts. Tokens on a centralized exchange, in a liquidity pool or in a vault do not, and selling or moving tokens after the snapshot forfeits the claim. Confirm these rules on the official channels, because they decide whether you get anything.

Tokenomics

Maximum supply is 1 billion FABLES. The published allocation:

AllocationFABLES
Emissions500 million
Community120 million
Team80 million
Ecosystem80 million
Strategic reserves75 million
Grants50 million
Operations40 million
Liquidity30 million
PROLOGUE redemptions25 million

Circulation at launch is capped at 75 million. That covers the 25 million for PROLOGUE, up to 45 million from points claims and initial liquidity, with the last two capped together. The team’s 80 million do not circulate at launch: 40 million are locked permanently as veFABLES, and the other 40 million unlock after six months and vest over two years.

Half of all supply goes to emissions, the rewards paid out over time to liquidity providers. That is typical for ve(3,3) exchanges. It also means steady new supply entering the market for years, and the speed of that supply matters as much as the launch float.

How ve(3,3) works

The model came from Solidly and was made popular by Velodrome and Aerodrome. Fables has not published every detail of its version yet, so here is the general design:

  1. Holders lock the token to get a vote-escrowed version (here, veFABLES). Longer locks usually give more voting power.
  2. Each period, veToken holders vote on which liquidity pools receive the next round of emissions.
  3. Voters earn the trading fees from the pools they voted for, and often extra incentives from projects that want emissions directed to their pool.
  4. Liquidity providers in the chosen pools earn the new tokens.

The idea is that locked holders, liquidity providers and projects all benefit when activity grows. The weak point is just as well known: if trading volume and fees fall, emissions become the main source of rewards, and selling pressure from those emissions can weigh on the token. Volumes on Robinhood Chain have already shown how quickly they can shift, as the risk section below notes.

Risks to know before October 20

  • Fake claim sites. Scam pages copying token launches appear every time. Use only links from fables.fi and the verified @fablesfi account, and never sign a transaction that asks for unlimited approvals you do not understand.
  • Launch volatility. A capped float with heavy interest can swing in both directions on day one.
  • Changing terms. The team itself says arrangements may change after legal review, and the ve(3,3) terms are not final yet.
  • Smart contract risk. Fables runs on new contracts and hooks on a young network. Bugs are possible.
  • Network activity. Robinhood Chain transactions fell about 42% from mid-September to early October, according to growthepie data reported by CoinDesk. A DEX token depends on that activity.
  • Hype posts. Many social posts about FABLES include price targets. They are opinions, often from people holding the token.

How to take part safely

  1. Check your eligibility and make the liquid or veFABLES choice on fables.fi before October 19.
  2. If you hold PROLOGUE, keep it in a self-custody wallet through the October 17 and 18 snapshot, per the published rules.
  3. Bookmark the official site now, so you are not searching for it on launch day when fake ads appear.
  4. If you plan to trade FABLES after launch, do it with an amount you can afford to lose.

To trade Robinhood Chain tokens, we use Axiom, which supports the network. That is our referral link: you get a fee discount and we earn a commission. Our step-by-step tutorial shows how to set it up and bridge ETH. For a comparison of launchpads on the network, see Pons vs pump.fun. Frequently asked questions

When does the FABLES token launch?

Fables has scheduled its token generation event for October 20, 2026, together with the launch of its ve(3,3) system. The date was already moved once because of a legal review, so follow the official @fablesfi account and fables.fi for any change. This content is for information only and is not financial advice.

What do points holders need to do before October 19?

Between October 12 and October 19, each eligible wallet must choose whether to receive liquid FABLES or lock its allocation as veFABLES. According to Fables, wallets that make no selection lose eligibility to claim. Make the choice only on fables.fi, never through links from direct messages.

How does PROLOGUE convert to FABLES?

PROLOGUE is the pre-token Fables issued before FABLES. Holders are snapshotted on October 17 and 18, and the team says every 40 eligible PROLOGUE converts to at least 1 liquid FABLES, with the final ratio confirmed after the snapshot. Reports on the schedule say only tokens in a wallet you control count, not balances on exchanges or in liquidity pools.

How many FABLES tokens will circulate at launch?

Maximum supply is 1 billion FABLES, and circulation at launch is capped at 75 million, made up of PROLOGUE redemptions, points claims and initial liquidity. The team's 80 million tokens do not circulate at launch: half is locked permanently as veFABLES and half unlocks after six months and vests over two years.

Is FABLES a good investment?

We do not make price calls. New DeFi tokens are often volatile in their first weeks, a large share of supply is set aside for emissions, and the final ve(3,3) terms are not fully public yet. If you take part, use an amount you can afford to lose and read the official docs first.
